May Worship be our Warfare

Luke 1:46-47

46 And Mary said:

“My soul glorifies the Lord

47  and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,

Worship holds significant power in the Kingdom of God. Ephesians 6:12 says "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." This could not be more true. This post will be a reminder of our authority in the Kingdom when we worship with and for the Lord. As the Lord has shown me through dreams and encounters with Him during the day and night, we have immense authority in the Kingdom through pure and raw worship. I pray that as you read this - everything in you comes alive and awakens to the awareness that our worship for the Lord ignites and shifts the atmosphere for His Glory.

Understanding Spiritual Warfare

What I love about the Lord and dreaming with Him is that if we are open to listening and trusting Him - He will show us all that we need to know. Dreaming with Him allows our thought process to be fully surrendered to His ways because He speaks beyond our rational minds. So often I have limited who I truly am on this earth because I get caught up in earthly viewpoints. 2 Timothy 1:7 says "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." As we dream with the Lord, He makes us aware that He truly has not given us a spirit of fear. The Lord has given us a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. As I would hear the Lord in the night I would ask Him for more. The more that I wanted was a desire to see myself as He saw me. He showed me and it changed my life forever.

In 2021 I had a dream and in this dream I stood with the Lord. As I looked at Him I could feel Him saying to look at what He was about to show me. I looked confidently with Him at what He was revealing. Without a single ounce of fear in me I looked in front of me and saw satan. What the Lord showed me all around is what changed my life forever. I saw myself in peace - standing boldly. I would then see satan begin to intently try to fight me and throw flaming arrows at my body. It is then that I became fully aware why my parents heard from the Lord to name me 'Shield'. My name comes from Ephesians 6:16 "In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one." As I saw satan working so hard to attack me, fighting with swords and flaming arrows - while standing with the Lord, I began to see what the Lord saw and has equipped me with. I didn't see a little woman that was 5'2 and weak. I saw my armor that has been on me since birth. This armor was so massive I couldn't explain it in words that would do the armor justice. I then looked up and saw 2 massive angels that stood around me - one in front and one behind. These angels were the same size as my armor if not bigger. The angels that were around me were fighting satan and it took hardly anything for them to win.

What I love about what the Lord showed me is not only the size of the armor the Lord equipped me with or the size of the angels, but that all I had to do was stand.

Ephesians 6:13 says "Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm." We are fully equipped. The Lord has equipped us for this day but we must stand. To stand with the Lord and for the Lord means to be alert, knowing His Word, using the worship within us from Him to be aware of what takes place in the Kingdom. We must be fully rooted in God's revelation and His Word.

Luke 10:18-20 says 18 He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. 20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” This verse is where the Lord led me after this beautiful dream. I was then awakened to who I am and how the Lord sees me. I was awakened to what I am and all what I am fully capable of. While we are given authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy - the Lord reminds us of something of such vast importance. We must not rejoice that the spirits submit to us - but we rejoice that our names are written in Heaven.

Releasing a Sound

We rejoice because our names are written in Heaven. When we do this and align our minds with all that He sees, speaks, breathes, hears and all that He is - the sound from Heaven comes forth from within. This is when the worship within me that I have felt since birth - that has always been different than the rest - began to flow in a new and different way. I didn't care what others thought - I only saw Jesus. I had confidence that what was flowing from me birthed heavenly beauty that can only be explained when you submit to His worship. I could see the worship within me that poured out of me literally cause the lights to brighten. I would watch as angels would dance when pure praise would flow from within me. There were many times that through simply raw and pure worship to the One I would see people healed because the Lord would carry this worship like perfume on His feet.

Psalm 63:

1 You, God, are my God,    earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. 2 I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.3 Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. 4 I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. 5 I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

In this Psalm David communicates the beauty of earnestly seeking Him. When we seek Him - whatever it looks like, when it is pure worship - everything falls in to place. The Lord will take you not only to the places you need to be but the places you never dreamed you could get to. Why do you think that we worship prior to the sermons...? Because when we worship it opens the atmospheres and realms to the mysteries of God. Something happens in pure and raw worship that literally brings forth warfare. There is no striving. There is a stepping in to His Presence that aligns our bodies to all that He is revealing a Revelation to the answers we need to conquer anything.

Job 11:7-12

7 “Can you fathom the mysteries of God?    Can you probe the limits of the Almighty?8 They are higher than the heavens above—what can you do?    They are deeper than the depths below—what can you know? 9 Their measure is longer than the earth   and wider than the sea.

When I truly awakened to worship being a form of warfare was through a dream from the Lord in 2022. Of course it was a dream the Lord showed this to me. As Kris Valotton has said many times - "the Lord speaks to us in what we value." If we value dreams, then he will speak in that way. If we value worship He will speak in that way. He speaks to us in everything if we pay attention - yes. But this was one of those moments when I felt His breath and heartbeat over it all. I could feel that while I do value dreams and the Lord knows that and used the night to speak, I knew this was one of those times to truly pay attention.

In this dream it was as if I was actually awake in my home. I walked in to the living room and looked out my window and as I looked out of my window I saw an angel on one side and on the other side I saw a demon. Immediately I began worshipping. Luke 2:14"Glory to God in the Highest and on earth peace, and goodwill toward men." As I said this over and over - 3x - I saw the angel increase and the demon reduce in size. Upon the third declaration of Luke 2:14 the demon completely went away. Not only did the demon go away, I began flying with the angel. This was a deep revelation that worship is so much more than a simple song or time to lift hands. It is an opportunity to shift our awareness to the knowledge of our authority in the Kingdom. As He is in us and we are in Him, our authority in the Kingdom is more powerful than we know. We must know that not only do we ignore the noise around us that tells us our worship must look a certain way, we must see ourselves rightly - seated with Christ.

Ephesians 2:

6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,

It was after this dream the next morning when I woke up I began seeing angels.

It was also after this dream that I learned with the Father that He was teaching me that there is power in the declaration of something when you speak it three times. There are many other times the Lord has shown this to me in other dreams and it always equips me and I feel His breath on it. I say this just to equip in the understanding of the details in which the Lord speaks and to not miss how He speaks in the night because it is for a reason. The Lord is so kind to reveal His heart, His ways and His teachings if only we ask and listen.

Daniel 2:

22 That night the answer to the mystery was given to Daniel in a vision. Daniel blessed the God of heaven, saying, “Blessed be the name of God, forever and ever. He knows all, does all: He changes the seasons and guides history, He raises up kings and also brings them down, he provides both intelligence and discernment, He opens up the depths, tells secrets, sees in the dark—light spills out of him! God of all my ancestors, all thanks! all praise! You made me wise and strong. And now you’ve shown us what we asked for. You’ve solved the king’s mystery.”

2 Samuel 6:

22 Yes, and I am willing to look even more foolish than this, even to be humiliated in my own eyes!

It is my prayer that as you read this, that everything in you would yearn and desire for dreams that will reveal how Yahweh sees you. It is when your identity is revealed, you will have the courage to do what He wants you to, worship how He wants you to, love how He wants you to resulting in a deeper union with Him. As you read this I pray that you would dive deep in to the only place that takes you to all you need to know which is the Word and the Word is God.

John 1:1-5

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God.3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

I pray that shalom will melt over your mind, body and soul. This is warfare. This is love.

He is Worthy.
